Ear cropping is cosmetic - docking and dewclawing is not. As an owner of working spaniels, they're necessary to avoid injury.

I got to choose whether my Aussie got to be docked or not and I chose to dock I have no problem with cropping and docking if it is done properly 🥰

I have a mini Jack Russell and when I went to pick her up I got there just as the breeder was about to dock her tail 😱  glad I got there in time

Give owners a choice. Nothing wrong with C/D if done by an experienced vet. I respect owner's decisions, that's how it should be 😁

In hunting breeds it stops tail injuries in heavy brush. Tail injuries are difficult to heal - painful to amputate as adults. Best dock at 3 days.
