Tape or glue, Paint the glue on and let it dry then peel it off. It's how I used to get glass shards out. Works great.

Glue works well to Elmers glue just put it on your hands and then it’ll stick to the spikes and pull out

Try to use glue .. or tape . Glue let it dry and peel it off.

You could use tape or hard wax if you have it like what they use in salons to hopefully pull some of those barbs out!
