I love everything about LEDs except for the most important: inconsistent light color that is often cold and ugly. Why can’t they get this right?

LED's DO produce heat, just not the same as an the incandescent bulb. take that LED bulb apart, theres a heatsink in it. still have 120v going to it..

If a fixture states to not exceed 75W. - is that based on incandescent bulbs or LED.

yeah i’d agree. it’s easier to just have watt comparison to directly replace incandescent with LED, i just feel like it’s misleading sometimes

yes, but the LED buld cost about 1000% more. Also the actual diode will last almost forever, however the computer board that run that diode wont and

There is a difference in the color rendering index (CRI). CRI is important to know especially for photography and videography.

and the 75watt bulb needs 75watts of AC to cool it if your air-conditioning the room. if heating not so bad

The biggest difference is the incandescent uses a lot (90%?) of its energy to produce radiation we can’t see. The LED only outputs visable light.
