We have them all over the state parks here, they are amazing to pickle. We use some fresh and have pickled all year.

So good. They take 5-7 years to mature & best way to harvest is to cut the leaves, while not disturbing the bulb/ roots. We love them raw, in soup,etc

I live in French Creek West Virginia I found that the the best place to plant them is around springs or a deep shady spot side of Creek or a stream
