You kinda did it wrong … heat needs to be incorporated. Either straighten it as you go and then curl by sections or at a hair dryer to it.

Your supposed to use small tissue paper for the ends , then roll it. Larger curl more body - dry completely- we did this in the 80’s

My grandma always uses these hair curlers and for her hair the kind of work but because her hair is really straight and thin it only kind of works
