The wreck involved a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta at the corner of Parsippany Road and North Jefferson Road. He walked up to the car and spotted a broken Belgian block garden bed. The Jetta's front end showed major damage. The driver turned out to be Kelly Terranova. While chatting with her, Manney caught a whiff of alcohol. He also noticed clear signs of impairment. Kelly sat with a male passenger in her car. At first, she held back from saying she drove. Officers Byrnes, Najera, and Law pulled up to lend a hand with the probe. The passenger told them he had met Kelly in rehab. They had left the place just moments before. Kelly owned up to driving soon after. But she turned stubborn and refused to work with the cops. Officer Najera cuffed her hands. He let her know she faced arrest right then. A quick search of her wallet turned up a PBA Gold Card. It came from Patrolman Dave Ribaudo at the Parsippany Police Department. Manney drove Kelly to the Hanover Township station first. There, in the sally port, he ran field sobriety tests on her. Once those wrapped up, they headed to the Florham Park Police Department. Their breath machine worked fine; Hanover's had quit. They read Kelly the standard statement for drivers. She said yes to giving breath samples. The Alcotest showed her blood alcohol at 0.17%. That beat the 0.08% limit by more than double. In the end, they handed Kelly over to her mother. The mom signed the Potential Liability Warning form for her. Kelly waited for court from there. Her bad attitude led to charges of obstruction under 2C:29-1A. They also hit her with resisting arrest under 2C:29-2A(1). Officer Manney handed out these traffic tickets too: -Operating under the influence -Reckless driving -Careless driving -Traffic on marked lanes -Obstructing passage of other vehicles -Delaying traffic -Leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage -Failure to report an accident Kelly faced a DWI arrest before in Montville Township, New Jersey, on January 7, 2023. Court files point to another DWI bust in Mansfield Township, New Jersey. That one came after she ditched an accident scene on April 14, 2019. Earlier still, she got nailed for DWIs in Rockaway Township, New Jersey, on March 29, 2019, and March 27, 2019.
