Great video btw! 😁 Just a tiny nit picky thing: the presence of the continents in the map make it seem like the earth rotates vertically. 1/

I hope you see this but I have a question no one's been able to answer well and I'm genuinely curious. but what if the earth was all water?

A quick look at the Wikipedia article on tidal force shows that this explanation is incorrect.

Not quite. Tides are caused by the grav pull of the Moon from NORTH & SOUTH, not the towards & away from it. This is why only large bodies have tides!

There are different interpretations of what happens. I always found inertia unsatisfying. That side is still attracted to the moon, just less so 1/

The sun has a much greater effect on pulling the earth through the surface water.

ok but if the water is getting pulled away from earth and towards the moon then why does the water come in closer during high tide??

Okay so if the moon vanished suddenly what would the water look like? Would sea levels change? Would everything become one giant current?
