Pork char siu……..Make extra for anytime use. Portion it out and store uncooked marinade char siu in individual ziplock bag. Put it in the freezer. Thaw it in the fridge overnight before baking. Makes great topping for noodles soup, banh mi, fried rice, stir fry or with steam rice. I usually double the recipe every 2-3 months. A quick fix! Everyone has their own recipe and this is my Recipe: 5-6 lbs pork shoulder butt roast or country style ribs. • 1 pk Chinese bbq char siu seasoning mix • 1/4 cup char siu sauce (Lee kum kee) • 1 cup water • 3 tablespoons minced garlic • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce •1 teaspoons ground pepper •1 tablespoons cooking oil Mix ingredients well together. Add it to the meat. Marinate 6-12 hrs. Or overnight in the fridge. Preheat oven to 425f . 1•Put parchment paper on the baking pan will help cleaning later much easier. 2•Put baking rack inside the pan. If you don’t have the baking rack. Just place meat on the top of parchment paper. Do not use foil wrap. It will burn because of the sugar in the sauce. 4•Place meat on the middle rack in the oven. 5•Bake for 20 minutes then flip to the other side. Continue to bake for another 20 minutes. Cooking time may be vary depending on how thick the meat is. 6• Remove from the oven and flip the meat over. 7•Brush jar char siu sauce on the meat. Put back in the oven. Bake on broil for 5-7 minutes or until char. #nuocmamfood #charsiu #charsiupork #pork #chinesefood #Recipe #recipes #meat #pork #porkmeat #porkbelly #porkbutt #heffaaclub #nuocmamafoodsrecipe
