in England (at least my local accent) our 'can' sounds alot more like your 'cant'. whereas 'cant' is pronounced like 'car-nt'

mẹo: đừng cố phân biệt đọc khác nhau. hãy tưởng tượng đọc can't có âm t đuôi nhưng nó k đc bật ra. Sẽ có 1s nghỉ giữa 2 chữ. Phân biệt dễ mà
