This is a trend that doesn’t do anything.. Go to Lowes or Depot and buy some Drain Crystals (citrus preferred). It’ll clear and clean those pipes..

when you mix the baking soda with the vinegar, you neutralize both of them. that means they stop cleaning and it's pointless to let that sit overnight

boiling water can dissolve the glue holding pvc together. Not recommended unless you have metal pipes.

Vinegar and baking soda neutralize to form a salt. So it’s not worth mixing both of them. Just use a highly alkaline compound

Honestly, I used to do this, and the chemicals only really work while it’s bubbly before becoming inert, chemist relative. Now I use Green Gobbler.
