Remember all the seals I made back in May, in anticipation of the Bright Eyes concert I went to in June?! Well this isn’t one of them, lol 😅😂 I started editing a video from then, May 29, to be exact, and it was a seal made with this same stamp, and I’m like, WAIT ✋🏼. Didn’t I make a Bright Eyes seal using this same stamp way back in October 🤔?! So I checked back through my many video clips that are waiting to be edited, and sure enough, I made this seal in anticipation of launching this stamp on October, and since it was a few weeks before Halloween, I chose one of Bright Eyes’ kind of spooky album covers 👀. Which is kiiiiinda perfect, since it’s AUGtoberfest and we’ve launched all of our Halloween stuff 🎃🙌🏼 Am I drawing parallels where there are none?! Yes, yes I am. (Just a little peek inside this ADHD brain of mine, lol 😅) In true Strictly Rita form, I took this seal a step further, and pressed it into background wax, watch for that video, coming soon (as long as I don’t get distracted and see a butterfly, that is 😂) You know how I’m always saying “I’ll never learn?!” Well, I may have broken that trend. Here’s what I mean: When I made this seal, I SHOULD have let the clear wax cool just a bit longer 🤏🏼. Can you see how the wax isn’t totally clear around the poured and scraped details? That’s because the wax kind of melted into the clear wax, which sort of muddied things up :/ It isn’t horrible, but it isn’t my best work. Also ☝🏼, when you press into clear wax, you want to make sure your stamp head has cooled all the way down. I suggest using an ice pack 🧊👍🏼 You’ll notice the seal didn’t pop out cleanly, and that’s why, it also makes the seal look not as crisp. That being said, I DID LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES 🙌🏼, because the seal I made in May doesn’t have these issues 🥳!! You’ll probably see that one in the Spring of 2027 😅😂 We have two MP3 player frames in the shop, this one, aptly named MP3 Player, lol, and Do the Shuffle.
