I think it's a great idea but I'm not sure if plastic bags are BPA safe and if they will leech into the soil and your food but the idea😁

Not a bad idea, but there are other options that are decently cheap for beds. Lrg plastic totes work fantastic for mini beds.

is LDPE safe from leaching? HDPE bags should be safe, but bags are made of both. PET would also work, but idk if you can mix PET and HDPE for 3d print

I mean I like the idea, but another option would be to plant sunflowers, they are accumulating heavymetals really well and thus clean the ground,

Temperature problem. Looks like LDPE (shopping bag plastic) needs to get to 120C . 3D print stock goes to ~200C to liquify, but will deform at 120C.

So, in impoverished communities, time and labour availabilty are also issues. Where are they getting the oil, and how fast is it to make the bricks, 1

I'd ask why can't you go to a grocery store or anything with large shipments, ask for or buy pallets on the cheap and make raised beds from that?

good idea, but not 3d print mold. I'd use plywood with slots cut in.

why not just skip the boiling plastic step and print those things? Boiling oil and plastic sounds dangerous.

3D printing is expensive a better alternative is vacuum forming & can produce a lot more molds very quickly

Thanks Ben, 👍👍 Great idea, but not without risk. I'll get a response up shortly.

I don't know if it's a good or bad idea, but to give you a price comparison. I built a 4'x12' bed out of cinder blocks and concrete for $50

I would hesitate about doing this. for one plastics can be toxic melted in that fashion. 2 you can only remood plastic so many times before it's unuse
