Use command strips but leave them on the wall when you leave. If maintenance tears up the wall taking them off that’s their fault not yours

As an RA, I never charged for wall chips, blemishes, etc. I only charged for stuff that would actually affect the next resident.

I remember when the paint came off I actually yelled! then I used a glustick to glue the paint back on, and painted the rest. no one noticed!

I use command strips and then I leave them on the wall when I leave so that it's a university employee that rips the paint and not me :)

For posters- tape 4 metal paper clips to the wall with painters tape and then use a magnet to hold the poster up! No damage to the wall or poster😊
