I felt like Kim Possible when coding those HTMLs Now, let's dive into the heart of Tumblr 2014 – the aesthetics. 🎶 Music: Indie-alternative-grunge pop ruled the airwaves. From Marina & The Diamonds to The 1975, Lorde to Lana Del Rey – it was a symphony of feels. D3pression became an aesthetic, and you weren't cool if you weren't on that melancholic vibe. 🎸 🎬 Film and TV: The Fault in Our Stars, Twilight, and The Hunger Games – our cinematic holy trinity. Mix that with 80s/90s/00s nostalgia, and you've got Lolita, Girl, Interrupted, and the crown jewel – American Horror Story. 👗 Fashion: Moody vibes, American Apparel tennis skirts, and Dr. Martens – the uniform of Tumblr royalty. If you didn't live through VSCO, you weren’t gonna be able to do Tumblr 🌍 Culture: Positivity met toxicity – a double edged sword. Thigh gaps and glamourised d3pression were the standards, but so was massive LGBT+ positivity. It was a place of enlightenment and the occasional internet trial. The common thread –
