Food waste in schools is awful. The kids are forced to take a fruit/veggie with their meal and if it’s something they don’t like it goes right 🚮

Our school requires each child to take everything offered, even if they know they won’t eat it. Then it all goes into the trash

My mom works in the schools and they always get to take leftover food home instead of throwing it away, so our family eats it 😁

In primary school i had a stall that gave me free food once school is over. Not sure if she did that to every one though.

this is so wasteful. there is an app in the UK called "too good to go" where shops sign up to sell heavily discounted food due to go off soon.

When I ran summer camps at schools. The food would arrive in coolers with ice. So the milk had an 2 hr window to be served.
