I can’t believe it took that many brushes to detangle ONE section 😩 These were truly some of the worst knots I’ve ever experienced in my entire life, I blame it on the winter weather (and me procrastinating washday 🥲) but I always want to keep it real on here Some tips for how to detangle: 🩷 Apply a hair mask or deep conditioner beforehand. I applied the @amika hydro rush moisture mask before detangling here 🩷 Make sure your hair is soaking wet when you’re detangling - I should wet my hair more here and it definitely would’ve helped 🙃💦 🩷 Use a brush specifically designed for detangling, not a styling brush as they will likely be too rough on your hair. The brush I’m using here is the detangling brush from Ziggy 🩷 Start from the bottom to prevent breakage, the only reason I’m brushing the mid section here is because that’s where my knots mainly were, usually they’re towards the ends and easier to deal with 😭 But yeah, 48 brushes!
