as systems have a leak. Manf allow .5 ounce leak rate per year. Holes get larger. Plus most installers don't know how to properly charge a unit.

my unit was 35 years old, had him service it. he put a lb of freon in it. if it was only a single lb low after 35 years... he fucking cost me 8grand

False it may not have been fully charged from install or after years of checked you lost some or you got ripped off or you have a leak.
