i got tested when i was 18 at my college clinic and the doctor told me that i was rare n most ppl come in senior year to get tested for the first time

For fellow USA folk, if you're insurance plan doesn't cover testing or u don't have insurance, Planned Parenthood has inexpensive options.

You can definitely get tested too early for an sti to be detected. Within a week? Could test negative when you do actually have it. 😬

Quick note that people w/penises can’t be tested for high-risk HPV and may not be aware they have it. Use condoms! ❤️
