1) this is actually an AWFUL step, it will do so much more harm than good, no elephants are taken from the wild anymore, almost 100% of elephants

We (UK) have some of the best zoos in the world. Elephant enclosures are huge and they’re treated very well.

I agree with this, but Zoo's keep elephants safe and keep the species safe by breeding them! There's no threats or poachers like there is in the wild!

Well your fact about lifespan in captivity is simply not true! I worked with a herd of captive elephants for years + every single one was over 25yrs.
