Don’t do 50/50. It destroys the binders in the poly and won’t be a lifetime finish. Wipe on poly has specialized binders to prolong life.

Does this go on smoother than a brush? It seems like you’d need a lot more coats, but that’s not a bad thing!

Ok I got oil based poly, mixed with mineral spirits. How long do you wait between coats? And do you sand between coats? How many coats?

I use this a lot on exterior wood but add in boiled linseed and use a marine grade urethane.
