Depends how dirty it is. A little dirty is more efficient. Needs to be sprayed from the inside out.

You just possibly impacted the condenser doing that. Stick to telling people to change their air filter often and do annual service with technician.

Here’s an hvac tip your supposed to spray from the inside out otherwise your spraying the dirt into the coil And only rinsing some off

he mean rinse the condenser . if you really want to wash it turt it off. you can rinse it while is on. rinse on those heat days.

It’s smart to turn off disconnect. I’ve seen allot of units not grounded. You definitely don’t want to be the ground source fo 220v
