Hi I would log roll to your side the push up with your arm to get sitting on the side of the bed. It would be easier then sitting straight up.

What about lying on your side then rolling to your back instead of going straight back? Also using a “lift sheet” to hold you up. It covers your spine

just a suggestion, maybe look into getting a houyarlift (might not be correct spelling) it will make her more comfortable for transferring
