2.5 weeks after hip replacement surgery. I'm up like 7 lbs. I still log all my food. kind of depressing.

I got my left hip replaced December 19 2023 and I gained 20 lbs not weight loss yet. Then I just got my right hip replaced 1 week ago (Sept 10th 2024) I have gained almost 5 lbs more since the 10th.😥

In regard to Total Hip Replacement: Does spinal anesthesia provide better post op pain relief in comparison to general anesthesia? Also is the nerve block completed once the patient is non coherent?

I lost over 50lbs after hip replacement. BUT it's b/c my nursing home tried to starve me. I was 39 yr old & they treated me awful.

Knee replacement it took 2 weeks of PT than done. No weight gain.It was easy for me...unlike others I know😁😁😁

I had a knee replacement 15th February 2022 I was I high care my BP dropped for 11.5 to 7.7 got 2 bags of blood and crp went from 3 to 143
