Wanting more income doesn’t make you a bad teacher 🍎💛 Let’s say that again. Wanting more income does not mean you care less about your students. Because I think so many educators carry guilt around wanting more. More money. More peace. More flexibility. More breathing room. More options outside the classroom. And somehow, teachers are made to feel like if they want those things, they’re being selfish. But you can love your students and still want your bills to feel less heavy. You can care deeply about your classroom and still want income that does not depend on extra duties, tutoring, or another exhausting job after school. You can be grateful for your career and still admit that teaching has become financially and emotionally heavy. That does not make you ungrateful. It makes you honest. Because passion does not pay every bill. Purpose does not erase burnout. And loving your work does not mean you should have to sacrifice yourself to prove you care. Maybe you’re not trying to leave teaching tomorrow. Maybe you don’t even know what your long-term plan is yet. But you do know this: You want more room to breathe. You want more control over your income. You want something that belongs to you. And you’re allowed to want that. You are allowed to build outside the classroom while still showing up inside it. You are allowed to care about your students and care about your own future. Both can be true ✨ Comment GUILT if you’ve ever felt bad for wanting more 👇💬 #teachertok #teacherburnout #teacherpreneur #educatorsontiktok #teacherlife
