As some of you know, we abruptly lost our other dog, Lewis on January 6 - one of the hardest days of my life. ⁣⁣⠀ The grief of that loss impacted how I typically do everything. ⁣⁣⠀ I know how impactful this business is to animals in need, to saving more dogs out there like Lewis and Wilson. February’s goal is to raise 5,000 dollars for animal rescue. When Lewis passed away, I was overcome with grief and let myself get behind in where I planned to be. Now I am playing catch up to ensure I can make this donation happen. ⁣⁣⠀ ⁣⁣⠀ Grief rattled me. I failed to post reels or TikToks about the candles because I was so busy making them and trying to get the current orders out the door. That is why I am leaning into apparel for this month to finish raising the funding. Candles are a TON of work to ship - one that I need a whole team of people for. As I need to start prepping for the March collection, I had to some choices to make - as I can’t be everywhere at once. So I shelved what’s left of my candles this month and am focusing on apparel. Candles will be available again in March. ⁣⁣⠀ ⁣⁣⠀ My motto right now as I struggle to make this goal happen is, “If you can’t do the best thing, you do the next best thing” ⁣⁣⠀ ⁣⁣⠀ So that’s what I am doing. It’s an apparel heavy month. ⁣⁣⠀ ⁣⁣⠀ I have to sell HUNDREDS of shirts to finish raising the money. I do believe that with this community and my posting daily we can do it. ⁣⁣⠀ ⁣⁣⠀ So, here goes nothing, everyone! If you have it in your budget to purchase an apparel item - it would mean the world to my small business and animal welfare.
