You are an awesome dad.! Try a strider bike. No pedals and it teaches balance. When he masters it , younger siblings can use it.

I’ve found it’s easier to teach kids to ride bikes when the bikes are smaller than what they need. Toddler bike, no trainers, I hope this helps!
