Stuck in a wine cellar elevator in France for 1.5 hrs, I was shocked at how calm/quiet the Europeans were - and no complaints! 😳

I'm a Russian, living in Luxembourg, where I have to repeat every single phrase, bc nobody hears me. To me, both American and French sound too loud 🙉

Arabs, dutch and US Americans are the loudest ppl on average that I have encountered. French are usually agreeable.

It’s probably an accent thing because I’m bilingual and in English my voice is deeper and in french it’s higher pitched

Much louder in US, I figured due to space and distance, in France (restaurants) so close to other table you need to whisper when in US ceiling higher?
