I agree with this and we are doing the same with our son! I hate the “oh it’ll make so and so sad if you don’t give me a hug”. Well you know what 1/2

kids can show affection without hugging and kissing. my kids can blow kisses or say I love you or high-five or any other number of things.

My mum taught me the same thing if I don’t feel comfortable don’t do it! When I have kids myself I’ll be teaching them the same!

Thankful 95% of family are happy to say “oh you don’t wanna give me hug that’s okay” 😌I didn’t even have to teach my kids, It’s just what they know🥰
