add mad scientist :
tree protection happens mostly in the soil. (other than sun shade) so to encourage the other trees to help, place the planter in your soil

Thank you! What’s your growing zone? Do you advise to do that in August in 100’a degree weather or should we wait until the fall?

Do you have a diy soil mix recipe? I struggle with well draining soil. 🙏

Hi! My dog knocked down the baby plant (1-2 ft) and the stem broke right at the base (it didn’t get enough post at all yet) of the soil! I’m gonna leave the rooted part in there and I cut right under a node on the main stem and just stuck it back into the soil. Will this work? Should I remove all the leaves or just some to focus growth on the roots? Is there anything else you recommend I do?

Hi! We’ve had a hard time keeping cuttings alive. Someone told us we have to be in a warmer area—we’re in LA near Longbeach. What area are you in?
