NATIONWIDE IS NOT ON YOUR SIDE. They tell you to enroll your pet while they’re young so they’ll be covered for life. Then when the get older and start having health issues they drop you!

Make sure not to get nationwide or they will cancel once your pet happens to develop ANYTHING while you are at the vet.

Just a heads up to fellow pet parents: Nationwide Pet Insurance is phasing out their “Whole Pet” plan and is actively dropping older dogs—especially those with pre-existing conditions. I was shocked to find out they can cancel your policy at renewal, with no warning. If I had known that when I signed up, I never would have chosen them. After years of paying into a policy I trusted, they’re now offering me a downgraded plan that costs $450/month—for less coverage—and my 12-year-old Frenchie recently diagnosed with Cushing’s disease will no longer be protected. It’s heartbreaking, and frankly, unethical. A lawsuit has apparently been ongoing for over a year, and yet they’ve made no effort to change course. If you’re currently with Nationwide, I urge you to reconsider your options before your dog has a condition they’ll refuse to cover. Paid for full coverage for 8 years, now need chemo & Nationwide will only pay for 3 treatments. Should've saved the $ in savings account instead. ☠️
