#MentalHealthAwarenessMonth From my battles, I've learned that vulnerability is a powerful part of healing. I've faced the weight of guilt and shame. Yet, I've learned that having faith doesn't shield us from life's challenges, but rather, it offers hope amidst the battles we face. I want to share these reminders with you today so you know that you are not alone and give you tools on how to work through the challenges you may be facing. 1. Love and Support: For me personally, I've relied heavily on God's love and support during times of mental health challenges. And also the support of my loved ones. Don't go through this alone, turn to your faith and loved ones for strength and comfort. 2. Breaking the Stigma: We have to break the stigma surrounding mental health and faith because seeking help is not a sign of weakness but a courageous step towards healing! 	 3. Prayer and Meditation: Sometimes prayer is all I have! It does promote mental well-being, as it has a calming and grounding effect on our minds. (which is the ultimate battlefield) 4. Faith-Based Counseling: This has changed my life! Not only has she given me insight on why I handled life the way I have and she has helped me be more assertive in life, and always pointed me back to the word. I encourage you to integrate faith support into your healing journey! 5. Self-care and Rest: I learned the importance of self-care and rest as essential components of maintaining good mental health, it's okay to prioritise your well-being. 	 6. Gratitude and Positivity: Practicing gratitude and focusing on the positive aspects of life is a vital way to cultivate hope and resilience in the face of challenges. 7. Healthy Boundaries: It is important to set healthy boundaries in relationships and life to prevent burnout and protect your mental health. I struggled with this but I'm getting much better!🤍 8. Overcoming Shame and Guilt: This is a huge one to overcome feelings of shame and guilt associated with mental health struggles, and replace it with grace, self-compassion and understanding. 9. Finding Purpose in Pain: God can use our struggles and challenges to shape us and bring about greater purpose and growth in our lives, offering hope and meaning in difficult times. This is my biggest goal each day! 10. Practical Coping Strategies: I have found what helps me is quiet time, prayer, walking, movement, reading, good sleep and talking help alleviate symptoms of stress, anxiety, and depression. #MentalHealth #MentalHealthAwareness #christiantiktok #livewellwithtia
