I have to be completely honest with you guys, when @Mark Hogben tagged me in a reel that he wanted a haircut by me I have to admit I was apparently the only one on the planet that did not know about this fine gentleman and his inspiring life story… But then something incredible happened… I was starting to get HUNDREDS of DM’s from all around the world if I could please, PLEASE give Mark a haircut (to which I already said yes btw) including people close to me that I have in the highest regard so I was more than intrigued… Who is this man..? What is it about Mark that makes him SO DEEPLY LOVED by so many… I did a bit of digging, watched some of his videos about his crazy story living off the grid on a Canadian island for a decade while living with ánd battling Parkinson disease and I got it… COMPLETELY… ♥️♥️♥️ (Those that know, know… Those that don’t will…) I’m also not afraid to admit I’m as spoiled of a city boy as they come, I wouldn’t survive for two hours off any kind of grid, let alone in a Canadian winter, but I do know a bit about cutting hair… I actually gave Mark’s haircut a lot of thought. I wanted it to fit his personality, move freely, have a lot of natural texture, look slightly wild but with a bit of a rugged, distinguished movie star seasoning, perfect in its imperfection… Ánd of course PD, ice, wind and brown bear resistance… 😏 Well, I let you decide if I lived up to that. What matters most is that I got to meet this Iron Man and made a new friend… For those that haven’t… YES!!!
