💯% Same; I was adopted. It wasn’t until I went to cosmetology school that I was able to understand & embrace my curls. Now I wear it curly everyday🥰

I remember hearing people say to straight hair girls “ay, tiene pelo bueno” and that stuck. I stopped straightening in 2015 at 35 and love it 🥰

Yes I’ve had this experience too. When I was about 9. I got a relaxer and my hair fell out. And when it came back I had to wear it natural.
