my mom used to warm coconut oil or baby oil in a metal teaspoon for a second and pour inside the ear and leave it for 15 minutes nd the pain is gone

As a child, the older folks would get cotton, use a teaspoon of olive oil and heat, then dip the cotton in the oil and stuff the ear.
