It is a type of learning used in Japanese traditional arts meaning to train by watching and copying. ほかの人の稽古や試合を見て学ぶこと。 優れた技や剣風、あるいは一本を評価できる「眼」も重要な技能であり、見取り稽古はその意味でも重要である。 In kyudo after retrieving my arrows from the target I will sit quietly, I'll will be putting my yugake back on but also watching others practice. Especially my sensei and sempai. The movements I know, but its the timing, the angles the pause between the kata I watch and feel. Then its my turm to shoot again and with the image I've just seen fresh in my mind I try to apply it as I shoot.弓道の場合矢とりに行ってから控え室に戻り、先生と先輩引いてる姿を見ます。全体的にみる、間を感じる、角度、速度、見て感じとる。そして弓を引く、先ほど見たものを生かそうとします。 The other day I was super impressed with Toru sans mitori geiko skills. After watching me maybe twice he was shooting using the 8 kata or hassetsu for kyudo. 先日、徹さんの見取り稽古がとてもよかった。私が数回弓を引いてから、徹さんが弓引きました。八節も順番も短期時間で覚えていて素晴らしかった！ But how did he get on?
