And also finding out how much work is shared within a department despite pay really changes the dynamics. Pay should be transparent for that reason.

Also let’s be honest. Sometimes there’s a pay gap. because people are just terrible negotiators. My last rasie I got a higher % than everyone. Why?

Yep! Accidentally got sent a comp file and found out I was making 40k less than the next person in my office. I was making 30k, barely getting by. 🤬
