i would recommend pulling la little less hard when you take it out as to keep the integrity of the curls! also setting it while it’s damp with gel/spr

I straighten my hair one day, then very lightly spray it at night so it’s damp but not wet, and dutch braid it in 2 braids (with my side part) then

Try the robe belt curling method. And have your hair at least 50% wet. But the robe belt actually works really well
