MSNBC’s new president continued to shake up the embattled network Monday — canceling shows hosted by left-wing anchors Ayman Mohyeldin, Katie Phang and Jonathan Capehart, The Post has learned. The overhaul follows the ouster of rabid anti-Trump anchor Joy Reid after reports surfaced Sunday that the Comcast-owned network is canceling her show, “The ReidOut.” On Monday, an MSNBC insider told The Post that staff working for Capehart and Phang were informed that their weekend shows will be canceled. The source spoke shortly after The Guardian reported that Mohyeldin’s program will be taken off the air. His show “Ayman Mohyeldin Reports,” which airs on the weekends at 7 p.m., will broadcast its final episode on April 20, according to the UK paper. An MSNBC spokesperson confirmed the shakeup when contacted by The Post. Mohyeldin, Capehart and Phang will remain at the network, with the two men hosting shows in new time slots, the rep said. The spokesperson did not provide details on when the new shows will debut. Phang, who broadcast her show from Miami, was told her program will end as the network sunsets its South Florida-based operations, according to the network. She will stay on as a legal correspondent. The massive revamp comes as new president Rebecca Kutler, whose interim tag was removed this month, looks to put her stamp on the network after the exit of Rashida Jones. Kutler canned the controversial Reid and has leaned on MSNBC’s highest-paid star Rachel Maddow to return five days a week, at least for the Trump administration’s first 100 days. The decision has frozen out Alex Wagner, who anchored the Maddow’s primetime slot four days a week. Kutler is “canceling two hosts that made history. Alex Wagner is first Asian-American primetime host and Joy Reid was the first black woman cable primetime host,” another MSNBC source told The Post. “She’s tough and very corporate. Not a lot of people like her but she gets things done.” The Egyptian-born Mohyeldin was among the anchors MSNBC reportedly sidelined following outrage over the network’s biased coverage of the Oct. 7 massacre by Hamas in Israel. The network denied benching Mohyeldin, along with Ali Velshi and Mehdi Hasan, who ended up leaving the network shortly after his show was canceled. Velshi remains with the network.
