Article 250 NEC. Bonding is also putting everything on the same equipotienal plane. The neutral returns the unbalanced load to the panel

I concur! I shall explain. Bonding neutral to ground AT ONE PLACE prevents the fault current from having two parallel paths to ground.

TNCS is combined Neutral & Earth. from French Tera Neuatral Combined Sperate. Different methods for different earthing arrangements.

Equpotential bonding equalise's 2 potential points. Grounding takes away potential fault current. Line neutral imbalance causes RCD/ELCB to trip.
