I’m currently en route to my surgery. I’m getting all four wisdom teeth removed & I’m nervous as shit. I normally wait an hour or three after I wake up before I plunge, but today, I woke up, & hopped right in. I wasn’t pleased about it, but I did it, and goddamn, STILL better than coffee. Air temperature this morning was a crispy 32°F, with 10mph winds, making the “real-feel” an even crispier 22°F. Water temperature was 37°F, but felt so much colder. I was very happy to see a nice sheet of snow on the ground, too! My bath duration was a quick 3 minutes 20 seconds. My water is treated with two cups of Epsom Salts laced with eucalyptus & mint essential oils. Normally, I’d have 7 cups for the 60 gallon portable, but alas, I am out of salts. Chat: My mom gave me a call about 20 mins ago, and we talked for about 17 minutes. I’ll be calling my dad as well when I’m out of surgery. Outdoors: I spent about 8 minutes outside, total. 5 minutes acclimating to the air, and almost 3 and a half minutes in the bath. That will probably be it for me because I’m gonna be all jacked up for the rest of the day. Video/Picture: ☑️ I don’t know what this week is going to bring for me as far as cold exposure goes. I’m gonna try to plunge tomorrow, but it depends on the bleeding. They say adrenaline post-surgery can cause bleeding, but the rush of adrenaline isn’t as intense as it was when I first started. Worst comes to worst, I may be doing cold showers—but I refuse to quit! I’ve come this far. Wish me luck, guys! I hope everyone else has an awesome day!
