please for the love of Odin, no perlite! there are other soil aerators like lava rock that work just as well without floating to the surface

Could i use this sort of mix for my lawn? due to water logging from heavily compacted soil, Iv removed alot of the old soil, turned it all and was planning to mix some compost, horticulture grit and perlite then adding this mix in to the lawn soil and then re-seed
