This holiday season I gathered some @iconicbeauty friends around to decorate “sweet cases” for @fosterlove to help eliminate the trash bag crisis. When foster youth are called to move homes, they have approximately 10 minutes to gather their belongings which typically end up in trash bags. That’s why Foster Love offers a team building activity where you can decorate and fill duffle bags with goodies and essentials to help foster youth move to their next home with dignity. It’s not something I publicly talk about often, but one of my biggest dreams in life is to be a foster mom for teens who are getting ready to age out of the system. So for the last few years I’ve been preparing for when my time comes by partnering with organizations who are genuinely doing good for those impacted by the foster care system. @fosterlove is absolutely one of those organizations. It’s why I’m so proud to have Kodah and Nala get involved with fulfilling holiday wish lists every year. But it’s also why I was so excited to get some friends together for a special afternoon of decorating sweet cases, catching up on life and talking about our goals for 2024. This isn’t just a holiday season activity, so if you find yourself wanting to giveback to a very important cause at any time of the year, please consider this one. They also have stem kits, bikes, birthday boxes and skateboards available! Whatever calls to you, please take action on. You don’t have to perform big, grand acts of kindness to make a difference.
