WORKOUT PLATEAU IS REAL. During a recent IG story Q&A, someone asked about workout plateau, so I figured this is a perfect time to share how I actually get through the workout while in the mist of a plateau. often times the plateau for me isn’t physical as much as it is mental. So my discipline will always allow me to get in the gym but here’s how I push through the rest of the workout. 1.I REMIND MYSELF OF ALL THE THINGS THAT I’M GRATEFUL FOR INCLUDING WHERE I AM IN LIFE RIGHT NOW… EVERY SINGLE TIME. We work so hard in life to get to where we want to be, so when we’re there it’s important to use that space as fuel and fire to gain ammunition and push through our work out. 2.I REPEAT MY MANTRA THROUGHOUT THE WORKOUT LIKE “DISCIPLINE POWERS MOTIVATION” “BEAST CANT BE TAMMED BY COWARDS.. YOU ARE A FKN BEAST”🗣️😏- if nobody else hyped you up, make sure you hype yourself up. PERIOD 3.I SET ALARMS FOR EVERY BREAK SO I DON’T GET LOST IN DEEP THOUGHT. As I stated before workout plateau’s for me are usually mental so it means that my mind is running intensely which can conflict me executing at 100%. When I find myself in this space, I set alarms during every break to make sure that I’m not going over my break time. 4.PUT A TIMER ON MY PHONE FOR THE ENTIRE WORKOUT. if I only have one hour to workout or 1.5. Setting a timer, allows me to take note of how long I have to complete my workout in addition to how much I’ve completed in the time that I’ve actually been at the gym.
