Nah bro. Technically once you hit the fleet in my eyes you’re considered a “veteran”. They signed up and served regardless the time.

I did basic and AIT and 3 months later got deployed and got injured in Iraq and now 100 disabled vet , out in less than a year

A veteran is a former member of the US Armed Forces. Who served on active duty and was discharged under conditions which were other than dishonorable.

individual did 7 days active in boot, went awol. picked up by us marshals 1 yr later. did 6months brig time, received general discharge.

see I got discharged for scoliosis during boot but I didn't know I had. when I talk with older veterans and tell them that they should not thank me.

Not true, if the military broke you in any training BCT, AIT or special skills programs before 2-3 years you are veteran because they literally broke
