Cat magic for all those who believe! Donut has been very generous with his calming energy the last few weeks and just yesterday our local cat warlock taught me how to spread it around! So here’s some extra relaxed cat energy in case you need that to face your day. Or put it in your pocket and use it at your leisure if this is not a good time! The animals that I have been lucky enough to live with in my life have given me so much unconditional love. Different animals have shepherded me through difficult periods of time, just by being there, and loving me, and letting me love them back. Some days in middle school when I was feeling particularly alone and generally like an angry and confused waste of space, I would lay on the floor between our two dogs, and let their wordless companionship comfort me. I knew at the end of any tough day that Thelma and Louise would be there, understanding what I needed even though many days I didn’t even know what that was. There are some things that animals can give you that people can’t for some reason! I can be in a room with a whole bunch of people and feel alone. Add one friendly dog or cat, that feeling is kept at bay for the time being. So thank you to all the dogs and cats who have told me to keep moving forward! And thank you to my wonderful human family and friends who inspire me and also have helped me through complicated times. I am appreciating every moment with them all and am grateful to have gotten through the times when I was working against myself. I am so incredibly grateful to have met my incredible wife Melanie, who loved me when I felt the least deserving of it, and to my daughter who only sees the version of me that has made it through those times that were part of forging this happier healthier version of me. And on this Thanksgiving’s eve I’m also grateful to every one of you who has left a lovely comment for me!! In a time where being cruel to people over the internet is a hobby for many people, I am so grateful that the lion’s share of people who have found me on here are such kind souls!! And lions are just big cats! 🐱↗️🦁
