yes I knew about Hickory nuts, we don't have many of these trees where I live, so we don't bother gathering them

Ive had them but they were fresh ones before the squirrels got them. I let them dry out after cracking them because thats what my uncle told me to do

they're quite an amount of work to get into for what you get out of it my family usually cracks them in half and throws them to the squirrels
