POV: Yang Jungwon was known as the principal's son. Most students feared him. He was always close to danger—wherever he went, trouble seemed to follow. He would pick on students he found amusing, treating them like toys for his entertainment. He knew he was untouchable because of his father. By now, bullying students had become second nature to him. Most students admired him, but just as many hated him because of his cocky attitude. He loved the popularity and attention everyone gave him... However, one girl humbled him real quick—You. You transferred to his school late, almost in the middle of the semester. Your father constantly moved from city to city because of work, so you never stayed in one school for long. This time, you were hoping you'd finally graduate high school here. “Everyone, settle down. We have a new student joining our class today. Her name is Y/N L/N. Let's make her feel welcome, okay?” the teacher said before nodding toward you. “You can find any seat you're comfortable with.” Jungwon glanced in your direction and smirked. You were his new target. “That seat's taken,” Jungwon said. You stood up and looked for another seat. “That one too.” You sighed before eventually sitting beside him. “So you're the new transferee, huh?” He held out his hand. “Yang Jungwon, the principal's son.” You didn't take it. From the moment you entered the classroom, you already knew this boy was bad news. “If you're pretending to be friendly, you should stop. You look stupid.” Jungwon scoffed. Most of the students nearby had heard what you said and immediately started whispering among themselves. Some wondered why you were sitting beside the school's biggest troublemaker. You couldn't care less. The next few days were absolute hell. Jungwon kept tripping you in the hallways, finding ways to embarrass you, and nearly getting you sent to detention. Luckily, karma seemed to be on your side. Whenever he tripped you, he'd somehow end up stumbling himself moments later. Later during lunch, he sat across from you with his usual smug smirk. “You know, you're pretty confident. I think you like me.” You continued eating your lunch peacefully. “As if I'd ever like someone like you. Just because you're the principal's son doesn't mean your excuse for picking on students is valid. That's a stupid mindset, Yang Jungwon.” You stood up with your tray and moved to another table. Jungwon was left speechless. “Stupid mindset?” he repeated before crushing the milk carton in his hand. Nobody had ever dared to humble the principal's son. But you did. “You're not scared of me?” The classroom had already emptied, leaving only the two of them. You didn't even bother looking up from your notebook. “No.” Jungwon frowned. “Do you even know who I am?” “Unfortunately.” Several students nearby immediately gasped and Jungwon just stared at her and for the first time in his life, somebody looked completely unimpressed by him.
