Foil duct is a known 🔥 hazard. Why didn’t you use a semi-rigid or rigid aluminum ducting?

flex duct isn't allowed in my area. it's a fire hazard. collects lint.

Use rigid pipe all the way to the dryer. Ribbed flex duct catches lint and allows it to build up.

Should've used rigid pipe all the way. That foil duct is horrible. Very restrictive for air flow. Yes I'm in HVAC.

crimps should only go in the direction of flow. rigid pipe is the only proper way to do this.

I use 28 gauge 4” round and tape the joints with ul listed tape.

I have not rigged any pipes out of my dryer. Just a little hose for water... There are filters for the "dust".
