This is all a lot of 🧢. Ales aren’t “crisper” than lagers and both ales and lagers can be any color depending on the malt.

That’s not entirely true. What you described is what separates a lager from an Ale, but the difference between all the “subclasses of beers” 1/2

Ale and lager are both way too broad a category to compare. There are bocks (lagers) wayyyy stronger than most ales

Ingredients and yeast quality matter. Lagers can be more expensive to produce due to the refrigeration needed.
