Matted hair cannot detangle with a brush or fingers. You'd need oil or a better recommendation is L'Oreal miracle oil. It's the god of detangler

It’s actually easier if you apply lots of conditioner to ur hair leave it in and then start to separate and ur a tail comb.

it actually doesnt take "MONTHS" to get your hair matted lol. esp if you have thin hair. mine is thin and if i dont brush my hair every single 1/2
